Awkwafina

Awkwafina Awkwafina, an American actor and singer, began with humorous rap tracks dealing with issues related to sexuality and race. Her fame grew into Hollywood when she dropped a series of raps. Nora Lum began her musical journey as a trumpet player. Born in Forest Hills Queens, she was a child of Chinese immigrants and Korean immigrants. Apart from classical music and jazz, she began studying hip-hop in her teens. In her studies, she studied journalism as well as women's studies at college, even taking classes in Mandarin in Beijing during a brief time. However, it wasn't until she graduated when she decided to turn her attention towards music. The track My Vag, a response track to Mickey Avalon's My Dick gained viral popularity through the Internet in 2012. It eventually made it on her first album Yellow Ranger released in 2014. This album also featured popular hits that went viral, such as body-positive Queef or winking hometown tour the city of New York Bitche$. This track was directly linked with another Awkwafina project NYC Travel Guide, which was published in 2015. As a musician and an author as her credentials, she set her sights on acting in a third project. In addition to early shows such as Girl Code and Tawk she was also featured in movies such as Neighbors 2. Storks as well as Bad Rap. In 2018, she scored her first major role in a number of high-profile films such as Dude Ocean's Eight and Crazy Rich Asians. She released the EP, in Fina We Trust in June of that year.
